Sausage, bacon and egg breakfast muffin

Save time and cash by making your own fast food: Here’s a super tasty sausage, bacon and egg breakfast muffin recipe.

This recipe is easiest with ready-made sausage burgers but if you don’t have them you can easily make your own using the instructions below!

Ingredients

To make 1 serving

  • 1 Breakfast muffin
  • 1 slice of bacon (optional)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pork sausage patty Or sausage meat or sausages
  • 1 cheese slices
  • Ketchup or brown sauce (optional)

How to make sausage, bacon and egg breakfast muffin:

  1. Optionally make your own sausage burgers by forming around 75-100 grams of sausage meat into a burger shape. Alternatively you can just buy some sausages; split the skin and squeeze the meat into a bowl. Around 2 sausages will get 1 burger. Season well and optionally add some herbs (e.g. sage, parsley).
  2. Fry the sausage patties in a little oil over a medium heat until fully cooked through (about 5-10 minutes), flipping occasionally.
  3. Fry or grill the bacon per pack instructions
  4. Put the muffins in the toaster and pop up regularly to make sure they’re not burnt – or toast under the grill.
  5. Put an egg ring mould in a frying pan and break the egg in the ring. pour a little bit of water around the ring mould and put the lid on the pan (this can be done without the water and lid but takes longer).
  6. Make up the muffins like so: muffin bottom, cheese slice, patty, cheese slice, egg, bacon, muffin top.
