Easy Iced Biscuits Recipe

iced biscuits recipe - 1

Easy iced biscuits: With only four main ingredients, these are home-made treats at their best!

The numbers below will make for around 10 biscuits and take around 20 minutes to make.

To make 10 servings

  • 275g Self-raising flour
  • 100g Caster sugar
  • 100g Butter
  • 1 Egglightly whisked with a fork
  • Icing sugar/chocolate chips/vanilla extractOptional

How to make easy iced biscuits:

  1. Firstly, heat the oven to 190C. These take no more than 20 minutes from start to finish so make sure your oven is ready!
  2. Make a crumble by rubbing the flour, butter and sugar between your fingers. It helps to leave the butter to soften beforehand.
  3. Once you have a crumble consistency, tip in the lightly whisked egg and gently mix until a dough is formed. If you would like chocolate chips or vanilla extract, add it here.
  4. Use your hands to shape into biscuits to around 2cm thick and the diameter of a coffee mug. If the dough is a little sticky, add a sprinkling more flour.
  5. Transfer the biscuits to a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  6. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until lightly golden.
  7. Allow to cool before optionally drizzling with icing.
