Easy Iced Biscuits Recipe
Updated
Easy iced biscuits: With only four main ingredients, these are home-made treats at their best!
The numbers below will make for around 10 biscuits and take around 20 minutes to make.
Ingredients
To make 10 servings
- 275g Self-raising flour
- 100g Caster sugar
- 100g Butter
- 1 Egglightly whisked with a fork
- Icing sugar/chocolate chips/vanilla extractOptional
How to make easy iced biscuits:
- Firstly, heat the oven to 190C. These take no more than 20 minutes from start to finish so make sure your oven is ready!
- Make a crumble by rubbing the flour, butter and sugar between your fingers. It helps to leave the butter to soften beforehand.
- Once you have a crumble consistency, tip in the lightly whisked egg and gently mix until a dough is formed. If you would like chocolate chips or vanilla extract, add it here.
- Use your hands to shape into biscuits to around 2cm thick and the diameter of a coffee mug. If the dough is a little sticky, add a sprinkling more flour.
- Transfer the biscuits to a baking tray lined with baking paper.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Allow to cool before optionally drizzling with icing.
