Egg In A Hole Recipe

Here’s a fun twist on fried eggs on toast to fry for breakfast.
This easy eat makes a quick and tasty eat which will be ready in less than 10 minutes.
Ingredients
To make 1 serving
- Bread
- Egg
- 1 teaspoon butter
- Salt & pepper to taste
How to make egg in the hole:
- Melt a teaspoon of butter over a medium heat in a frying pan
- Cut out a hole in the centre of a slice of bread with a biscuit cutter or use the rim of a glass. Don’t discard the cut out bread!
- Put the holed bread in the pan cook for a couple of minutes until the underside is golden. Also place the cut out piece in the pan.
- Flip both over and crack an egg into the hole. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Continue frying until egg is cooked to your liking. You can flip it over again to cook the egg on top.
- Serve, use the centre piece to dip in the yolk!
