Healthy (ish) fried breakfast sandwich recipe

Here’s an easy open fried breakfast sandwich which comes in at less than 400 calories.

Think of it as a tasty alternative to a full fry up, with bacon, eggs and mushrooms.

Ingredients

To make 1 serving

  • Bread 1 slice
  • Bacon 2 slices
  • Mushrooms 4
  • Egg 1

How to make a healthy fried breakfast sandwich:

  1. Toast the slice of your favourite bread
  2. Cook the bacon per pack instructions.
  3. Meanwhile, slice up the mushrooms and make a poached egg.
  4. Butter the toast and top with the bacon, then the mushrooms and finally the egg.
