Hot and Spicy Crispy Sweet Potato Fries Recipe

Ditch the standard chips with these easy to make hot and spicy crispy sweet potato fries
You can easily make these in advance and freeze them to oven cook when you’re hungry.
As a rough guide, one sweet potato will make the 2-3 servings depending on how hungry you are!
Ingredients
To make 1 serving
- Sweet potatoes
- Cumin
- Chilli powder
- Paprika
- Cayenne pepper
- Salt
- Olive oil
How to make hot and spicy crispy sweet potato fries:
- Pre-heat the oven to 220 degrees.
- Peel and slice the potato into thin strips
- Place the fries in a sandwich bag or big bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Shake well/toss to coat.
- Add the spices: Per sweet potato use approximately 1 teaspoon of paprika and 1/4 a teaspoon of chilli powder and cumin plus a pinch of cayenne pepper. Adjust to taste.
- Mix again to give the fries a good even coating.
- Spread out on a greased or lined baking tray in a single layer.
- Bake for around 20 minutes (a little longer if cooking from frozen) until soft in the center. Flip halfway through cooking.
- Optionally sprinkle with salt and a little extra cayenne pepper to serve.
