The Yorkshire Pudding Pizza has just been invented
Yorkshire pudding pizzas are a thing and you can get your hands on them this month (February).
Morrisons have launched the potential new delicacy which is available to purchase in stores now.
The Yorkshire pudding pizza consists of a classic Yorkshire pudding batter base used as a pizza crust.
It’s then filled with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese, plus a selection of toppings.
Costing £3, you can pick between classic pepperoni or meat feast with mini meatballs, spicy beef and jalapeno chillies.
The limited edition products are on sale in select stores subject to availability until February 20.
The crazy concoction is to celebrate national Yorkshire pudding day – which yes, is a thing – on Sunday 4th February.
Reaction the announcement has been mixed, to say the least.
Summing up opinions on Twitter, one user quipped: “That sounds disgusting and I want one.”
But if you want to give it a try, you’ll have to hurry as some stores have already sold out.
Jenny Dixon, from Morrisons, said: “Everyone loves Yorkshire Pudding and everyone loves Pizza, so we are combining the two to create the ultimate comfort food for Yorkshire Pudding Day.
“The crust is made the same way as a typical Yorkshire Pudding and is topped the same way as one of our pizzas.
“We’re looking forward to hearing what customers think but we hope that they’ll love it!”
